We rented kayaks from Canoe and Trail to explore Cane Bayou. Cane Bayou is gorgeous, the owner of Canoe and Trail gave us a map of the bayou, cases for our phones and showed us the main route plus he provided details about the common wildlife. While kayaking we spotted several birds, many turtles and could hear frogs chirping most of the two hours we were out. We did not spot any alligators but the owner said they were out there. All and all it was a great day made easy with the drop off and pickup of the kayaks. We'll be back from sure.
Many other paddlers were out in kayaks. The route is simple, even novice paddlers should be comfortable spending a couple hours here.
