I grew up with the owners and they are the nicest and accommodating people you will ever meet. This is a jewel of the south and a hunter and fisherman's perfect paradise!! The camp is newly renovated and very spacious.....you have magnificent views of the marshlands, Lake Pontchartrain and Bayou Lacombe in all directions. Want crabs and fish?? Want ducks?? Want pure nature?? This is your spot!!! Town close by with all your needs as well. Beautiful retreat!! Check it out.... you won't want to leave : )
Glockners Place was a great bar and restaurant at the end of Lake road in Lacombe, LA. Now they are a Marina and RV park for people who want to get away and experience the peace and serenity of the bayou and lake.
Beautiful location on Bayou Lacombe with a scenic view of the surrounding prairie marsh and Lake Pontchartrain. This place is SUNSET heaven! It should come as no wonder so many photographers and artists frequent this road. Of course, there is great fishing for bass, crappie and redfish in the area. Bayou Lacombe and Lake Road are known for excellent blue crab action, so bring something to boil them in!
We reserved this place for extra guests at our wedding. Our guests enjoyed the location and my wife and I stayed here one night after our wedding. We liked sitting on the porch and watching the boats come and go on Bayou LaCombe at sunset. It is also a good place to stay for bird watching.
Peacful and tranquil enjoy nature at its best. certainly can test your fishing talent.
P.S. A convenient gas station and tackle store is five minutes up the road.
